BASWA phon Acoustic Plaster system for Ceilings and Walls

BASWA phon Acoustic plaster systems

The purpose of BASWA acoustic plaster system is the reduction of reverberation times. The are made of two primary elements”: the pre-coated mineral fiber panels glued to a firm, enclosed base (as a rule concrete or a lowered mineral ceiling) and the micro-porous coating masses. Acoustic Plaster solutions from BASWA acoustic AG are available in two options: single layer or double layer systems. Single layer systems (BASWA Base, BASWA Fine) offer budget priced solutions and optimum installation times for premium quality acoustic surfaces that are extremely refined – provided the overall conditions are suitable for such installations. Double layer Acoustic Plastersystems (BASWA Classic Base, Classic Fine, Classic Top) always consist of a base layer called BASWA Base and a top coat (BASWA Base, Fine or Top). They are installed if the surface has to be extremely fine (BASWA Classic Top). If surfaces are bent with tight radiuses or they are located within highly visible lighted areas, they have to be covered.

The BASWA Phon Base acoustic plaster has a smooth, no groove, slightly structured and mechanically relatively resilient surface. The key advantages: only small amounts of material are needed and the installation times are short. Overall, this product offers a very favorable price-performance ratio.

Used as a single layer system, BASWA Phon Fine acoustic plaster has a smooth, fine surface structure.  The key advantages: only small amounts of material are needed and the installation times are short.

System profile

  • Single layer system

  • Granule size in the top coat 0.5 mm

  • Fine surface structure

BASWA phon Classic Top

Double layer systems are used if the surface quality has to meet the highest standards. These requirements may pertain to how fine the surface structure is (BASWA Phon Classic Top – with BASWA Top 0.3 mm as the top coat), or they may be the result of other prerequisites  (vaulted or double vaulted surfaces, surfaces with strong light exposure).

Double layer acoustic plaster systems require the placement of a first base coat BASWA Base on the glued acoustic panels, upon which a top coat (coating masses BASWA Base, Fine or Top) is subsequently applied.

System profile

  • Double layer systems

  • Granule size in the base coat 0.7 mm

  • Granule size in the top coat 0.7 mm / 0.5 mm / 0.3 mm

  • Finest surface structure (BASWA Classic Top)

  • Suitable for surfaces exposed to a lot of light or vaulted surfaces

  • Standard color ~ NCS S 0500-N

  • Comprehensive color selection (BASWA Colors, NCS, RAL, etc.)

  • Maximum surface quality <Q3>

  • Fire prevention class A2; S1-d0
